Senior Light Technician

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as a Senior Light Technician. This role is perfect for an individual with a passion for lighting technology and innovation, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service in various settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute lighting plans for a 24/7 live studio, ensuring consistent, high-quality lighting throughout all activities.
• Manage, monitor, and maintain studio lighting equipment, swiftly addressing any technical issues to ensure uninterrupted performance.
• Regularly update the on-site manager on daily operations and equipment conditions, while aligning with department goals through reports to the director in Bucharest.
• Supervise and mentor junior lighting technicians, providing training and guidance to ensure smooth and efficient studio operations.
• Ensure all lighting installations adhere to safety guidelines and industry standards, coordinating with other departments to ensure seamless integration with audio, video, and technical components.
• Keep comprehensive records of lighting setups, equipment inventories, and maintenance schedules. Stay informed on the latest trends and technologies in live studio lighting.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience as a Lighting Technician, with expertise in live studio setups and continuous broadcasting environments.
• Extensive knowledge of studio lighting equipment and control systems.
• Ability to interpret lighting designs and a strong understanding of safety protocols in live studio environments.
• Capable of quickly and effectively resolving technical problems under pressure.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with on-site teams and the director in Bucharest.
• Meticulous attention to detail and flexibility to work shifts, including occasional nights and weekends.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
• Experience with lighting software used in live studio settings is a plus.
• Technical certifications in lighting design, electrical engineering, or a related field are advantageous.
