HVAC/R Service Technician

Position Overview:

Join a leading mechanical company as an HVAC/R Technician, responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems. The role involves troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and ensuring that equipment operates efficiently with minimal downtime for clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair commercial refrigeration systems, evaporative condensers, ice machines, water pumps, compressors, air handlers, electric motors, and HVAC units to ensure proper functionality and minimize callbacks.
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration systems to optimize performance and reduce downtime.
• Complete necessary paperwork in a timely manner.
• Travel across Eastern Massachusetts as needed to provide on-site services.
• Support other duties and projects as assigned by management.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in HVAC/R.
• EPA Universal Certification (Required).
• Clean driving record and valid driver’s license (Required).
• Experience with VRF systems and grocery store refrigeration (essential).
• HVAC/R Certification preferred but not required if strong experience is demonstrated.
• Refrigeration technicians may also qualify if they hold an EPA certification.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
• Proven ability to deliver quality results.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to build strong relationships with clients.
• Professional attitude, self-motivation, and a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to be on call during nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating schedule.
• Commitment to integrity and ethical conduct in all situations.
