Patent Litigation Associate

Position Overview:

This position offers an opportunity to engage in complex patent litigation cases while developing and refining skills in providing technical litigation support, including preparing and analyzing invalidity and infringement contentions and charts. Key Responsibilities

• Assist with patent litigation cases, particularly those involving technology in the fields of computer science or electrical engineering.
• Prepare invalidity contentions, charts, and infringement contentions.
• Provide technical litigation support for complex IP cases.
• Work closely with senior attorneys and clients to strategize and prepare for litigation.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal memoranda, pleadings, and other related documents.
• Participate in depositions, hearings, and trials, as needed.
• Collaborate within a creative and collegial team to deliver exceptional legal service to clients.

Essential Skills and Experience

• 2-5 years of patent litigation experience.
• Interest or background in computer science or electrical engineering (technical degree a plus, but not required).
• Strong academic credentials and superior writing skills.
• Experience preparing invalidity and infringement contentions and charts.
• Quick-study aptitude and strong ability to engender client confidence.
• Active membership of the California State Bar.
