Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Marketing and Client Relations
- Maintain and manage relationships with Fortune 100 companies, government agencies, and public sector clients.
- Collaborate with the marketing team on the development of materials such as project team resumes, process diagrams, project philosophies, case studies, and website content.
- Provide technical quality control reviews for RFQ and RFP responses.
- Participate in and lead project team interviews and presentations on industry topics.
Workload and Financial Management
- Oversee project teams, ensuring organizational structure, workload management, milestones, and key deliverables are met.
- Update monthly workload forecasts.
- Lead the development of fee proposals, ensuring consistency across project and client types.
- Track financial performance for projects and monitor the need for additional services.
- Process billing review reports and review draft invoices for accuracy.
- Manage client accounts receivable and oversee financial reporting for assigned sectors and clients.
- Train teams on time management and implement strategies to improve performance efficiencies.
Staff Development and Management
- Develop training programs, technical seminars, and mentoring opportunities for staff.
- Oversee staff certifications, continuing education, and renewal processes.
- Identify areas for internal improvement and create development plans.
- Conduct employee performance reviews, provide feedback, and manage team development, including hiring, training, and disciplinary actions.
Technical Expertise
- Strong communication skills, able to present information effectively in diverse corporate settings.
- Expertise in a range of mechanical systems and emerging technologies.
- Comprehensive understanding of local and national codes, as well as client standards.
- Maintain and develop client-facing reports, specifications, and design documents.
Documentation and Process Implementation
- Proficient in CAD, Revit, and Bluebeam.
- Develop specifications, cost estimates, and ensure consistency in project documentation.
- Familiarity with control diagrams, commissioning documents, and construction standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- 10-15 years of industry experience, with 5+ years in design and client-facing roles.
- Experience with various project delivery methods (Design-Build, Design-Bid-Build).
- Proficiency in managing teams and coordinating mechanical/electrical systems.
- Recommended but not required: PMP certification.
