Commercial Property Solicitor / Associate

Job Overview

The Commercial Property Solicitor will provide expert legal advice in commercial property law, working proactively to support clients and maximize opportunities. The role also includes mentoring junior team members and collaborating across the firm to handle complex and strategically significant projects.

Commercial Property Solicitor Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist and technical legal advice on commercial property matters.
  • Manage a large caseload of complex and strategically important projects, collaborating with colleagues across the firm to deliver results efficiently.
  • Mentor and support junior team members, providing guidance and acting as a role model.
  • Offer accessible and solution-focused commercial property advice to a wide range of clients.
  • Assist the Head of the Property Law Team in managing the commercial property workload across the firm.
  • Promote leadership and innovation within the team, driving creative and commercial thinking.
  • Ensure that service delivery complies with current regulations, professional standards, and the firm’s policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the firm's business plan and targets, supporting growth initiatives.
  • Undertake any other duties that are commensurate with the job requirements.
  • Challenge assumptions and perspectives effectively while maintaining collaborative working relationships.
  • Deliver results under pressure, ensuring deadlines are met and holding yourself and others accountable.
  • Maintain excellent communication with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders, fostering approachability and professionalism.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Post-qualification expertise in commercial property law.
  • A high level of personal and professional integrity, with demonstrated credibility and probity.
  • Proven experience in managing complex commercial property projects.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency with Legal Case Management Systems.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to develop and sustain successful collaborations with clients, colleagues, and key partners.
  • Leadership skills, with a proven ability to inspire and mentor junior team members.
  • Creative and innovative thinker, able to apply commercial insight to problem-solving.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality results under pressure.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey legal advice clearly and effectively
