Position Overview:
This role is available due to a shift restructuring. As a Red Seal Millwright, you’ll work with advanced Forel machinery from Italy, handling production equipment in a fast-paced and evolving setting.
Core Responsibilities
- Certification: Red Seal Millwright license
- Tools: Must provide own tools
- Team Fit: Punctual, team-oriented, and dedicated to quality work
- Machine Maintenance and Repair: Conduct routine and preventive maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety standards.
- Troubleshooting Expertise: Diagnose mechanical issues swiftly and accurately, implementing effective solutions to minimise production downtime.
- Installation of Equipment: Assemble and install new machinery, liaising with vendors and internal departments to ensure proper setup.
- Compliance and Safety: Adhere to workplace safety regulations and policies, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed service records and technical reports for all maintenance activities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other team members and departments to support continuous improvement initiatives in operations.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Certification: Red Seal Certification as an Industrial Mechanic Millwright is required.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to handle complex machinery issues.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
- Physical Ability: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in varied environmental conditions.
- Schedule: Flexible shifts: Day (6:30 am - 3 pm), Afternoon (2:30 pm - 11 pm), Night (10:30 pm - 7 am)
