Project Manager at FLIR

The Project Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution and delivery of projects within our organization. You will be responsible for driving project activities, and ensuring adherence to project methodologies and standards.

You will be working as part of the Project Management Office (PMO) for our Fixed Mount Solutions RD organization, managing projects for intelligent camera, video detection management systems and their integration.

In short: Ensuring project completion achieving defined goals by working directly with RD and cross-functional team in a dynamic environment to ensure a successful delivery of key initiatives and new features.

  • Project Definition
    • Defining project charter
    • Prioritization
    • Cross-functional planning
  • Project Execution:
    • Manage project documentation, including project plans, status reports, risk assessments, and change requests.
    • Coordinate project meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and minute-taking.
    • Track project progress and identify potential risks or issues.
    • Budget, risk, and resource analysis
    • Project and engineering lifecycle compliance.
    • Provide administrative support for project activities, such as resource allocation, procurement, and contract management.
    • Monitor project budgets and ensure adherence to financial guidelines.
  • PMO Coordination and Process Improvement:
    • Collaborate with other PMO members to ensure consistency and efficiency across projects.
    • Maintain and update PMO templates, tools, and processes.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the PMO.

Hard Skills

  • 5 years of experience in a technology environment preferably a Corporate company, including practical professional experience in project management
  • Proven track record in program execution.
  • Cross-functional project management ownership experience.
  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics), Project management
  • Excellent English – both written and verbal.
  • Project management tools (PPM-Pro, Jira, MS Project) and documentation tools (Confluence)
  • Agile methodologies
  • A basic understanding of system engineering
