The department:

The Forex Desk is a specialized division within the Investment Banking department and is dedicated to executing foreign exchange (FX) transactions for institutional and private banking clients. 

With a strong presence in the Benelux markets, the desk leverages extensive market access to serve a diverse clientele, including insurance companies, banks, and asset managers. The Forex Trading Desk is staffed by professionals with deep expertise in trading FX across various global markets. Their combined knowledge ensures that clients receive high-quality execution services and strategic market insights.

Key Missions:

• The primary mission is to handle and execute FX orders from a wide range of clients.
• Orders are received through various communication channels, ensuring a seamless and efficient execution process.
  
• The desk acts as a 'market expert' and strategic partner within the Investment Banking strategy.
• It serves as an idea generator, providing clients with valuable insights and strategic advice based on market trends and data.
  
• Another critical function is the management of the FX position for the group.
• This involves monitoring and adjusting positions to optimize outcomes and manage risk effectively.
  
• The desk actively participates in generating various reports.
• These include key performance indicators (KPIs) and best execution monitoring, which are essential for transparency and performance evaluation.
  
• The desk provides clients with access to nearly every global securities marketplace, with a particular emphasis on the Benelux region.
• This broad market access ensures that clients can execute trades efficiently and take advantage of opportunities in various global markets.

To provide expert FX trading services and strategic market insights to a diverse clientele. Through efficient order execution, strategic positioning, and comprehensive reporting, the desk ensures optimal performance and client satisfaction.

Your ideal profile:

• • • You have at least 3 years of experience in Forex in a trading room
    • You have a solid knowledge of forex products (spot, forward, swap, NDF). A background with IRS and FX option would be considered as an asset
    • You have a Master's degree in finance, economics or applied sciences.
    • You have programming skills with VBA and Python
    • You are familiar with the use of a trading platforms
    • You are known for your ability to easily interact with different kind of people
    • You have a critical thinking mindset and you show a results driven attitude while being attentive to details
