Trial Paralegal
Career Consulting Partners has partnered with one of the most recognized injury law firms in Southern California in search of a Trial Paralegal with Personal Injury experience. We are a 25+ year-old law firm and our team of over 100 legal professionals has recovered over 1 billion dollars for our clients. We are dedicated to protecting and serving the rights of individuals who have been injured in car accidents, truck accidents, motorcycle accidents, dog bite attacks, slip or trip and falls, or any other accident resulting from the negligence or wrongdoing of others.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Paralegal with extensive trial experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal injury law, be well-versed in the litigation process, and possess excellent organizational and communication skills. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage complex cases from inception through trial, providing critical support to attorneys throughout the litigation process.
DUTIES:
- Oversee the management of a caseload of complex personal injury cases, ensuring all necessary documents, records, and evidence are obtained, organized, and prepared for trial.
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, preparing trial notebooks, and coordinating witness testimony. Attend trials as needed to provide on-site support.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy, including reviewing medical records, accident reports, and other evidence relevant to the case.
- Prepare and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents. Draft correspondence and settlement agreements as needed.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, keeping them informed about case progress and responding to their inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Manage all aspects of the discovery process, including propounding and responding to discovery requests, coordinating depositions, and reviewing and summarizing discovery responses.
- Ensure all court filings are completed accurately and in compliance with court rules and deadlines.
- Work closely with attorneys, other paralegals, and support staff to ensure cases are handled efficiently and effectively.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Paralegal certification from an ABA-approved program is preferred.
- Minimum of 4-5 years of experience as a paralegal in a personal injury law firm, with significant trial experience.
- Flexibility to work extended hours as needed, particularly during trial periods.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Strong knowledge of personal injury law and litigation procedures.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in legal software and case management systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Fluent in English Spanish
COMPENSATION BENEFITS:
- Salary/Compensation: $90,000 - $125,000
