The role

We're looking for a new Senior Finance Executive to join us who can look after all our stock finances. Managing stock is one of the most critical activities at Huel, and this role sits right at the centre of it. 

You’ll be liaising closely with our operations teams, understanding product costing, analysing trends and variations on manufacturing fees or ingredients pricing. You’ll be ensuring that all of our manufacturers are billing us the right amount for each SKU, at the right time, and acting as a main point of contact between operations and Finance. Here's an insight into your day today: 

• Month end close- You will be a key part of the month end close and have a set of tasks to perform every month, to timeline. This will include reconciling key balance sheet accounts (such as stock with a 3rd party) and various other activities.
• Managing our product costing - You’ll be looking after the co-manufacturing and in-house manufacturing costing process, checking and reconciling our build costs as part of the stock reconciliations.
• Audit support - You’ll work with our finance managers to ensure all audit supporting documentation is provided in a timely manner, is 100% accurate and easy to understand
• Change projects - You’ll be a key contributor to the implementation of any new processes or systems, getting involved in testing new solutions and identifying areas for improvement
• Ad hoc projects - You’ll spend a portion of your time involved in ad hoc projects. We don’t always know what will happen next! But you’ll contribute to new streams of work in the business that need a finance lens.
• This will be a broad and varied role and there will be plenty of other ad-hoc tasks to get stuck into - you’ll get a great insight into our wider finance processes across control tax and statutory
  reporting too.

• This role would best suit someone who is keen to get into a management accounting role and has a good grasp of the core finance concepts around the month end close, debits and credits. 
• You should have started on your accounting journey, and be starting on a relevant accounting qualification (ACCA, ACT, AAT CIMA) or you may even have relevant work experience in this field.
• You’ll need to have strong attention to detail and need to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in!
