DAC Engineer

What we are looking for

We are looking for a mission-driven and highly motivated engineer who is passionate about deploying cutting-edge technology to fight climate change. The ideal candidate has a strong background in mechanical, chemical, or electrical engineering and enjoys hands-on technical work, especially in industrial environments. This role requires a proactive problem-solver who can work independently and collaboratively, as well as someone open to traveling internationally and working across cultures.

What does the job involve

• Assisting in the deployment, installation, and commissioning of DAC machines at our Kenya site.
• Operating and monitoring machines to ensure they run efficiently and achieve performance targets.
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues to minimize downtime and increase machine reliability.
• Collaborating with the Belgium team, sharing operational feedback to inform design improvements.
• Conducting maintenance and repairs on equipment as required.
• Documenting procedures for maintenance and troubleshooting, contributing to the development of operational protocols.
• Proactively identifying opportunities to optimize performance and improve efficiency.
• Supporting training and knowledge sharing with other team members.

Qualifications

• Experience in the renewable energy, environmental technology, or process industries.
• Familiarity with DAC technology or similar carbon capture methods.
• Experience with remote or field-based industrial operations.
• Understanding of local regulations and practices in Kenya.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting for operational metrics.
