About the Job

As a Technical Writer at Teledyne FLIR, you will be responsible for producing high-quality documentation that enhances the user experience of our cutting-edge thermal and visual security cameras, as well as video management software products. You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and usability experts across our global teams to deliver content that meets both technical and user needs.

What You’ll Do

• Create clear, engaging documentation: Write user manuals, installation guides, release notes, and online help that empower users to understand and use our products effectively.

• Visual content creation: Develop compelling graphics, flowcharts, and screenshots to accompany your documentation, simplifying complex information for users.

• Collaborate globally: Work with teams in Spain, Belgium, and India, as well as engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the clarity and consistency of all content.

• Ensure consistency and quality: Champion the quality and cohesiveness of our technical documentation, making sure everything aligns with a unified technical voice and meets high standards.

About You

We are looking for candidates with a strong background in technical writing who are eager to work in a dynamic and innovative environment.

• Experienced with technical authoring tools: You’re proficient with tools like Adobe FrameMaker, Robo Help, or Captivate, and have experience working with CMS for structured content.

• Technically proficient: You have a solid understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite and can simplify complex technical details.

• Team-oriented and solution-focused: You enjoy working in a collaborative setting and are motivated by problem-solving and continuous improvement.

• Bonus: Familiarity with IT, TCP/IP networks, or security camera systems is a plus!
