Job Title:Junior Business Development Manager(Energy Storage System)
Reports to: Sales General Manager
Location: Melbourne, Australia
Responsible for: Energy Storage system and portable battery products sales
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our team. The BDM will be responsible for driving sales and market growth for our ESS and portable power products, with a strong focus on account management. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the renewable energy market and a proven track record in business development and account management.
Primary targets and Job responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve sales targets and expand market presence.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the ESS and portable power sectors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including distributors, dealers, and end-users.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute effective marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
- Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals to clients.
- Negotiate and close sales deals.
- Monitor and report on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities.
- Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to promote our products and services.
- Provide feedback to the product development team to support the continuous improvement of our offerings.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive account plans to drive growth and retention within existing accounts.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery and implementation of products and services to clients.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling between our multiple brands.
- Meet all KPI’s assigned by Management
Main Job Requirements
- Degree in business management or alike advantageous
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably in the renewable energy or technology sector.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Strong knowledge of the Solar PV, ESS, and portable power markets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
