Technical Engineer-German Speaking

Job Description:

My Client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Engineer to join our Engineering Services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting for our clients, with a strong focus on fixed networks (FTTH), WDM (Wavelength Division Multiplexing), and IP products. The role requires proficiency in both German and English, as well as excellent communication skills and a customer-centric approach.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide technical support and troubleshooting for fixed network (FTTH), WDM, and IP products.

Collaborate with clients to resolve technical issues and ensure the smooth operation of their networks.

Conduct regular maintenance and performance checks on client networks.

Develop and deliver technical documentation, reports, and training materials for clients.

Liaise with the product development team to relay client feedback and suggest improvements.

Assist in the planning and implementation of network upgrades and expansions.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements in fixed network, WDM, and IP technologies.

Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by delivering timely and effective technical support.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field.

Proven experience in technical support and troubleshooting for fixed network (FTTH), WDM, and IP products.

Proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Excellent problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused mindset.

Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Familiarity with network management tools and software.

Willingness to travel for on-site support as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in a technical support role within the telecommunications industry.

Certifications related to fixed networks, WDM, and IP technologies.

Knowledge of additional networking technologies and protocols.
