SAP BW Developer

Location: Bucharest

For our client in Bucharest, we are looking for a SAP BW Developer.

What You’ll Do:

Data Modeling and Design:

- Develop and maintain data models in SAP BW.

- Design and implement data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.

Report Development:

- Create and manage reports using SAP BW tools.

- Ensure reports meet business requirements and provide actionable insights.

System Maintenance:

- Monitor and optimize the performance of SAP BW systems.

- Perform regular system maintenance and upgrades.

BW4 Migration:

- Lead and execute migration projects from SAP BW to SAP BW/4HANA.

- Ensure seamless data transfer and system integration during migrations.

- Provide expertise in BW4 migration tools and methodologies.

Collaboration:

- Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to understand data requirements.

- Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate SAP BW with other systems.

Troubleshooting:

- Identify and resolve issues related to data loading and reporting.

- Provide support for end-users and troubleshoot any data-related problems.

Documentation:

- Maintain comprehensive documentation of data models, ETL processes, and reports.

- Ensure all changes and updates are well-documented.

Compliance and Security:

- Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations.

- Implement best practices for data governance and quality.

Continuous Improvement:

- Stay updated with the latest SAP BW features and best practices.

- Propose and implement improvements to existing processes and systems.

What You Have:

- At least 2 Full lifecycle project delivery experience in BW4 Migration project.

- You are a SAP BW Application Specialist.

- Able to position the features and limitations of SAP BW.

- Understanding of leading practices for configuring SAP BW.

- Strong functional process knowledge and an ability to contextualize technology solutions to business users and articulate business value.

- Full understanding of the features and limitations of SAP’s wider Business Intelligence stack.

- Workshop planning and delivery.

- Requirements backlog definition.

- Report user experience design.

- Data Model Design.

- Extraction from Source systems.

- Creation of Functional Technical specifications.

- System configuration.

- Build, Test Deploy phases.

- Hands-on delivery experience within a major SAP program using SAP BW including: Data Extraction from SAP Non-SAP sources delta handling.

- BW Data Flow Modelling.

- HANA Modelling Optimisation is a plus.

- System monitoring, administration Process Chains.

- Performance optimization.

- SAP BW Data Lifecycle Management.

- Strong in-depth experience in SAP Finance and Logistics data (SAP Tables, Views, BW Extractors, Function Module and standard reports).

- Good understanding on SAP Extraction and ODP framework.

- Ability to understand ABAP codes.

- BEx query design experience including complex key figures user exit variables.

- Experience developing reporting solutions in one of more of the SAP front-end tools including WEBI or, Design Studio.

- Project experience on Interfaces with both SAP and non-SAP systems.

- Awareness and experience of the SAP Business Technology Platform.
