Automotive Electronics Hardware Engineer (Mechanical)

Requirements:

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in the automotive industry, preferably in automotive electronic hardware design.
• At least 5 years of experience with technologies such as sheet metal, die casting, and plastic design.
• Knowledge of design requirements to avoid EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) and ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) issues.
• Practical knowledge regarding heat dissipation in electronic head units.
• Proficient in GDT (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Good written and spoken English skills.
• Strong team orientation.
• Experience working with tools like Polarion and DOORS.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the mechanical design of compute products, primarily collaborating with CAD designers but also coordinating with other competencies such as electrical engineering, validation, and materials engineering.
• Dimensional management for proper assembly and performance: calculating and defining tolerances.
• Participate in the creation of BOM (Bill of Material).
• Project: Electronic Control Unit.
• Project Phase: Initial phase, design for A sample to be developed and produced.
