Whatthe role entails:

Some of the key responsibilities of our HR Country Lead will be: 

  • The contact point for all employment-related inquiries or concerns locally, getting and collating feedback and addressing concerns or areas for improvement as needed.
  • Responsible for local labor laws, regulations, and compliance requirements. Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management in the assigned location.
  • Accountable for analyzing trends for benefits locally, support and give recommendations as needed. Responsible for local benefit administration.
  • Serving as the authorized HR representative for country-specific audits, government-related activities, and external stakeholders such as, but not limited to, unions, banks, external payroll, and insurance companies.
  • Responsible for signing and validating HR-related documents in the assigned location, such as employment related documents (e.g. personnel records, letters, work permits, benefits), documents related to vendor agreements, crucial legal documentation essential to company operations.
  • Responsible to recommend, implement and update local and global policies and documents with best practice adaptation, to make sure they are compliant with local regulations and requirements.
  • Providing support to managers in handling labour law topics related, but not limited to, Performance Management, Disciplinary actions, Performance Improvement Plans, On-/Offboarding.

 

What we ask of you:

  • At least 5 years of experience with the Maltese labor law
  • Having been working with Job visa applications to Malta
  • Market knowledge of Maltese benefits and requirements
  • Experience in a fast-moving, international environment
  • Organized, can-do, get-it-done spirit
