What will you do:

Designing and implementing a new Regulatory Reporting software to support global regulatory initiatives is both a significant opportunity and a challenge. This software is crucial for meeting the requirements set by external regulators, ensuring the firm's compliance and integrity.

The project involves solving complex big data challenges, where the accuracy of processing millions of rows daily is paramount. To achieve this, exploring the most effective methodologies for aggregating and presenting data to end users is essential. This journey will not only enhance your technical skills but also evolve your expertise towards data science.

Utilizing a sophisticated technology stack including Java, Spring, Spark, and Scala, you will develop efficient data processing services within a data lake environment. This technical foundation is critical for managing and interpreting vast amounts of data effectively.

Building strong relationships with end users is key to understanding the business intricacies and identifying opportunities for enhancing existing tools and processes. Engaging with users will provide valuable insights into the practical applications of the software and its impact on the business.

• Excellent communication, analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, mind-set of ownership and excellent follow-through
•  Programming skills in Java
•  Experience with SQL, relational data bases and query optimization
•  Experience in using a test driven development
•  Good understanding of data structures, algorithms and designing for performance and resiliency
•  Focus on software quality – ability to write clean code and encourage others to do so
•  Openness for acquiring new skills and learning new technologies
