Laboratory Technician Paperboard & Packaging Material analysis

We are looking for a Laboratory Technician to perform the analysis and testing of cartons and packaging materials.

This position is located in the Department of Material Analysis which includes Paperboard Packaging Material analysis. We welcome candidates with the right mindset and interest in working in a laboratory environment performing tasks with good care and having analytical thinking.

Your daily tasks may include:

• Working in a material analysis laboratory environment
• Prepare and analyze paperboard and packaging material using laboratory instruments.
• Collect data and write results in laboratory reports.
• Order and data handling using Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
• Communication with internal and external stakeholders about orders and test results
• Participate in laboratory quality improvement activities

Examples of test methods:

• Paperboard analysis
• Packaging material mechanical and physical properties
• Adhesion between packaging material layers
• Air entrapment image analysis on packaging materials
• Thickness and weight of material layer structures
• Bending force
• Geometrical dimensions
