*Associate Product Manager - Columns

Associate Product Manager for Astrea Bioseparations’ columns portfolio will serve as the product champion bringing relevant market experience and technical knowledge to support the current portfolio and develop the columns product roadmap to support column and, where applicable, resin synergies.

Supporting the management of products through portfolio planning, product lifecycle management, performance analysis and reporting, as well as supporting marketing and product training. This includes working closely with RD, sales, marketing, to ensure revenue supports our strategic Goals.

Principle responsibilities

Portfolio planning

  • Assist the development of business cases, aligned with the portfolio strategy, to ensure differentiated and profitable products are delivered to the market.
  • Contribute to the product roadmap through prioritisation of customer’s needs/new product features, monitoring of the competitive landscape, and understanding market trends through customer relationships.

Product lifecycle management

  • Support the management of the existing portfolio of product for growth and profitability, making improvements and efficiencies.
  • Identify opportunities for increasing customer and business value through product differentiation.
  • Planning of new product initiatives in alignment with lifecycle management goals and strategy.
  • Management of customer beta-testers.
  • Assist product launches and post launch adoption.
  • Support the commercial team and product support function to ensure excellent customer experience.

Product Line Performance

  • Responsible for analysis of product financial performance and assist in forecast modelling.
  • Monitor and analyse customer feedback to identify opportunities for improved customer experiences and new revenue streams.

Marketing and Training

  • Support the development of marketing strategies, including defining value propositions and messaging for existing and new products.
  • Develop and maintain customer-orientated product literature, including technical guides and application content for promotional purposes.
  • Create product training materials and deliver training programs to the commercial team and distributors.
  • Support multichannel content strategies for product portfolio

Qualifications

  • BSc in Life Sciences/Chemistry
  • An extensive knowledge of purification techniques as applied to the bioprocessing of biotherapeutics.
  • Substantial experience in a Life Sciences environment.

Other requirements

  • Strong active listening skills, with excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to work across multiple teams, and influence without direct authority.
  • Results driven, strong focus on achieving goals and delivery to plan.
  • Ability to quickly gain technical understanding of the product portfolio.
  • Working knowledge of Sales Force.
  • Able to undertake regular travel on a global basis, but primarily UK/Europe/USA initially.
