Purpose of the role:

The Baker at Maison François Bakery is responsible for crafting a diverse selection of high-quality baked goods, including bread, pastries, and other items that blend traditional recipes with modern influences. This role demands a passion for baking, proven experience in a similar position, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. Reporting to the Head Baker, the Baker plays a vital role in upholding and enhancing the reputation of our bakery.

Your responsibilities will be: 

• Prepare and bake a variety of bread, pastries, and other baked goods according to established recipes and standards.
• Ensure all baked goods meet consistent quality, taste, and presentation in line with the Bakery's high standards.
• Collaborate with the Head Baker on product development and the introduction of new bakery items.
• Follow precise measurements and techniques to maintain consistency across all products.
• Monitor the baking process to ensure optimal results, adjusting temperatures and timings as necessary.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Manage and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently, especially during peak production times.
• Assist in inventory management, including ordering and receiving supplies as needed.
• Work closely with the bakery team to ensure smooth operations and contribute to a positive work environment.
• Adhere to schedules and deadlines, ensuring all products are ready for service in a timely manner.

What we expect from you:

• Proven experience as a Baker in a similar role, preferably in a high-end bakery.
• Demonstrated passion for baking with a strong understanding of baking techniques and trends.
• Track record of producing high-quality baked goods with a focus on consistency and detail.
• Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Fluency in English is required proficiency in Estonian is preferred.
• Ability to work early mornings and flexible hours as needed.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and handle the demands of a busy bakery environment.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.
