Apprentice Mechanical Engineer - Day release to Gloucester College
To produce components for process separation technologies using specialist machines according to established specifications. To perform inspections of machines and work areas.
Setting up and operating machines to manufacture components to specifications and designs under guidance.
Responsibilities:
- Involvement in all areas or manufacturing including assembly and test
- Understanding of other manufacturing processes such as plastic moulding and fabrication
- Maintaining equipment and ensuring safety standards are met.
- Loading and removal of inserts from moulded parts and moulds
- Monitor the machines while in operation.
- Communicate to other functions any updates and delays in production
- Support other functions to execute their duties.
- Any other reasonable management request
- Keeping up to date with studies and standards
Skills/Experience:
Minimum of GCSE in Mathematics and English and Science
