Junior/Medior Freight Forwarder

As a Junior/Medior Freight Forwarder you help ensure that goods are transported safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively. You work with companies, importers, and exporters and support the logistics for transporting goods from A to B. You work independently and as part of a team, receiving guidance from senior colleagues to stimulate and support your professional development.

This is how you tackle your day. You:

• handle interactions with existing and new customers, qualify, monitor, and delegate orders for execution
• collaborate with internal teams to manage customer portfolios and implement improvements
• support the onboarding process for new customers in collaboration with Key Account Managers and operations
• contribute to customer satisfaction by providing proactive advice and support
• monitor internal data and customer KPIs, offering solutions for continuous improvement
• ensure all transport activities comply with laws and regulations (Compliance Management)
• assist in identifying and mitigating potential risks in the supply chain (Risk Management)
• ensure administrative processes run efficiently and controlled, contributing to overall success
• build and maintain customer relationships to foster beneficial partnerships for both WCSG and customer growth
• manage costs by understanding cost structures and negotiating favorable rates and terms.

Profile

• Available 32/40 hours per week

• Good organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize
• Customer-oriented and problem-solving
• Basic knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and compliance
• Confident and able to stand your ground when needed
• Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adept at quick adaptation
• MBO starter or a few years of experience, preferably in transport and logistics
• Excellent command of Dutch and English.
