Sales Lead - SDR

About the Role

As the Sales Lead – Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will oversee the daily operations of a small sales office while driving new business opportunities. Your role includes generating and qualifying leads, managing a team of SDRs, and ensuring the team meets performance targets. You will report to the Inside Sales Manager at another office, collaborating to optimize processes and achieve company growth objectives. You will also play a key role in leading and mentoring your team, ensuring they excel in lead generation and customer interaction. This role will be perfect for a self-motivated, self-starter. 


Key Responsibilities:

Lead Generation & Sales Development:

  • Utilize call list to contact homeowners and set appointments for roof inspections

  • Able to identify homeowner pain points and adequately overcome objections

  • Meet appointment quotas and exceed sales goals 

  • Accept calls from prospective clients as they arise

  • Field basic questions and concerns about the products and services we offer 

  • Attempt to contact prospective clients who you have been unable to contact 

  • Notate files and keep communication up to date within the CRM

  • Effectively communicate with colleagues and management

  • Outstanding listening skills and attention to detail

Team & Office Management:

  • Oversee the daily operations of a small sales development team, providing guidance and support to SDRs.

  • Train, coach, and mentor the SDR team to improve their performance in lead generation, qualifying leads, and customer interaction.

  • Monitor team performance, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and ensure individual and team targets are met or exceeded.

  • Foster a collaborative and results-driven office culture that encourages growth, innovation, and exceptional customer service.

  • Manage office logistics, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization to ensure smooth operations.

  • Handle any day-to-day office issues or challenges, escalating concerns to the Inside Sales Manager when necessary.

Reporting & Collaboration:

  • Report directly to the Inside Sales Manager located in another office, providing regular updates on team performance, sales metrics, and office operations.

  • Work with the Inside Sales Manager to align strategies, share best practices, and implement improvements across offices.

  • Assist in training new SDRs to scale the team as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, management, or a related field (preferred).

  • Previous experience in sales development, business development, or lead generation 

  • Experience managing or leading a small team (preferred).

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent leadership, mentoring, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to motivate and drive a team toward achieving sales goals.

  • Familiarity with CRM systems to manage leads and sales pipelines.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage office operations.

  • Excellent phone etiquette

  • Outstanding listening skills and attention to detail

  • Computer literate
