Resident Assistant-Caregiver

• Riverside Assisted Living is looking for a caring and compassionate individual who takes pride in their work and enjoys working with seniors. Our Resident Assistants assist our residents with all activities of daily living. Whether it be answering a call light to help a resident with a transfer or getting a resident a snack at night

• What You Will Do:
  • Assisting residents with activities of daily living- including dressing, bathing, hygiene, mobility, transferring, activities, etc. *Respond to call lights and emergency situations in a timely and professional manner. *Observe & report changes in resident conditions, incidents, or accidents. *Assist in a variety of tasks including meal service, light housekeeping, laundry, answering phones, or any other duties as assigned.

• As a resident assistant (caregiver) in our assisted living residence, you will:
  • assist residents with personal cares, meals, activities, housekeeping, and general supervision.
  • provide a safe, comfortable, and home-like environment

• Available shifts and compensation: We have multiple positions available:
  AM shift: full-time, includes every other weekend OR part-time/casual with on-call weekends or one weekend per month.
  PM shift: part-time, includes every other weekend

  PM Shift: full-time, includes every other weekend

  Weekend Only: work every other weekend

  Casual: work one weekend a month minimum.
  

• Compensation is $14.00 - $19.00/hour depending on shift and position.

• Certified nursing assistants (CNA) and non-licensed caregivers are encouraged to apply as well. CNAs are paid at a CNA wage.
  
  On-the-job, paid training to become a caregiver (resident assistant) includes:
  • standard precautions
  • medication administration and management
  • CBRF fire safety
  • first aide and choking

  Required Qualifications
  • high school diploma or GED
