Part-time Clinical Social Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic, part-time Clinical Social Worker to offer essential therapeutic services to individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Provide counseling, therapy, and intervention for those dealing with emotional, mental health, and behavioral issues. Use evidence-based approaches to help clients achieve personal stability and independence.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Perform comprehensive assessments of client circumstances, identify challenges and set objectives, including mental health, substance dependency, and social service requirements.
- Craft personalized action strategies tailored to the unique needs of each client.
- Facilitate individual, family, or group therapy with evidence-based techniques such as motivational interviewing, harm reduction strategies, and trauma-informed methodologies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to link clients with local resources including healthcare services and social support systems.
- Ensure timely documentation of client sessions and progress reports.
- Advocate for clients’ access to necessary resources.
- Address urgent situations like child protection concerns or mental health crises promptly.
- Monitor the success of interventions provided adjusting methods when needed.
- Uphold professional standards in all interactions.

**Qualifications:**

- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) and valid New Jersey LCSW license required.
- At least 2 years' clinical experience preferably working within homeless settings or housing programs is essential.
- Deep knowledge of mental health conditions along with expertise in assessment techniques; adept at implementing interventions effectively.
- Strong communication abilities combined with excellent organizational skills; interpersonal excellence crucial for building rapport with clients.
- Familiarity with evidence-based practices is necessary for effective service delivery.
- Capable of operating independently while also collaborating within multidisciplinary teams; attention-to-detail important when maintaining records accurately.

Bilingual proficiency would be considered an asset.

Knowledgeable about using electronic health record (EHR) systems helpful.
