Fundraising Associate

Position: Fundraising Associate

Join our dynamic team to support the planning and execution of diverse fundraising initiatives aimed at furthering the goals of Project Self-Sufficiency. You will engage with local communities to build strong relationships with supporters, potential donors, collaborators, and volunteers to enhance awareness about our organization’s mission.

Essential Skills & Competencies

- Strong ability to juggle multiple tasks with superior organizational and project management capabilities
- Charismatic communicator and effective public speaker
- Team-oriented yet capable of working autonomously on fundraising projects
- Familiarity with donor management tools is an asset
- Exceptional leadership qualities along with outstanding organizational, interpersonal, listening, writing, and verbal communication skills
- Keen attention to detail while maintaining focus on overarching objectives
- High degree of self-motivation and proactivity
- Results-driven under time constraints
- Passionate about positively impacting residents in Sussex, Warren, Morris, and Hunterdon Counties
- Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends

Key Responsibilities

- Manage donation processing including recording contributions from various sources (mailings, online platforms) while producing acknowledgment letters efficiently
- Develop mailing lists for organizational needs
- Ensure data integrity for all donations while maintaining confidentiality
- Support campaigns targeted at current supporters as well as new prospects
- Organize special events by overseeing logistics such as catering, invitations, event-day assistance, and post-event follow-up
- Compile comprehensive reports detailing donations events campaigns progress
- Monitor deadlines related to grant applications and organize necessary documents accordingly
- Contribute during agency-hosted occasions especially those focused on development

Qualifications include experience within the nonprofit sector, specifically in development roles, along with a bachelor's degree.
