Parenting Support Worker

We are seeking dedicated full-time Parenting Support Workers to deliver in-home guidance and family assistance as part of a nationally acclaimed home visitation initiative. This program is aimed at supporting vulnerable pregnant individuals or those with young children in Sussex, Warren, and Hunterdon Counties. Candidates should exhibit self-motivation, reliability, and the capacity to operate both independently and effectively. Responsibilities include continuously evaluating family needs, setting objectives, implementing suitable intervention methods, and modifying services as necessary. Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with both team members and clients with empathy and adaptability concerning cultural background, economic standing, faiths, age groupings, or unique requirements. Active participation in organizational activities is expected. Candidates must deliver services that are culturally aware while maintaining professional integrity aligned with the Social Work Code of Ethics.

The role demands frequent physical activity including standing, sitting, walking bending; occasionally lifting up to 20 pounds may be required.

Applicants must possess their own transportation along with a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving history.
