Posterity Group LLC is a veteran owned, service-disabled small business, headquartered in Rockville, MD, that specializes in federal government contracting and staffing. We are tasked with staffing the Augusta VA Healthcare System for Emergency Department (ED) Physicians. The Emergency Department Physicians is expected to perform the following:  

  • Responsible for the daily administrative and clinical operations of the ED and reports to the Emergency Department Service (EDS). 
  • As defined by the American Board of Emergency Medicine, admit, evaluate, diagnose, and provide treatment. 
  • Take part in continuing medical education and quality assurance activities. The highest degree of good judgment, ethical behavior and professional demeanor is always required in the incumbents contact with patients, peers and all other employees.
  • Must be available for "on call" for clinical coverage during non-clinical contact hours as identified on the published schedule. "On call" is defined as the ability to be on station within one hour. 
  • On call ED physician will provide coverage for the primary ED physician if they are unable to work their assigned tour of duty and for contingencies. On call duties are divided among all available providers for the rotation.
  • Shifts are subject to change to ensure efficient use of medical center resources and appropriate levels of care are maintained.
  • Physicians may be assigned duty as a supervising or collaborating physician for a mid-level provider. Physicians are expected to provide clinical oversight and review. Supervising or collaborating responsibilities and performance will be noted in the physician's performance evaluation.
  • All Emergency Medicine physicians will be assigned administrative duties. For example, committee representation. These will be adjusted to the needs of the enterprise.
Requirements


  • Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in allopathic medicine or osteopathic medicine. 
  •  Must be board certified or board eligible 
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience
Salary Description
$375,000 - $400,000
