We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Immigration Paralegal to join our team and assist in reviewing and filing H2B, H1B, and J1 visa applications.
Job Summary: The Immigration Paralegal will play a critical role in supporting our attorneys by preparing and submitting visa applications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of immigration processes, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation, review, and filing of H2B, H1B, and J1 visa applications and petitions.
- Collect and analyze client documentation to ensure compliance with immigration laws and requirements.
- Draft legal documents, including petitions, support letters, and correspondence with clients.
- Maintain organized case files and ensure that all documents are accurate and submitted in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates on the status of their cases.
- Coordinate with government agencies as needed, following up on pending applications and resolving any issues.
- Conduct legal research to stay informed about changes in immigration regulations and procedures that may impact visa applications.
- Develop and update templates and checklists to streamline the application process.
- Provide administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling meetings and managing deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; Paralegal certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in immigration law, specifically with H2B, H1B, and J1 visa applications.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. immigration laws, procedures, and documentation requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Proficient in legal research tools and document management software.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
