Job Title: Part-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary:

Posterity Group LLC, a Rockville, Maryland-based Healthcare Staffing Agency and a SBA certified Service Disable Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), is seeking a Part-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to support The Maryland Department of Health (MDH). The successful candidate will provide part-time (20 hours/week) psychiatric care for adults with intellectual disabilities who reside at the Potomac Center and Secure Evaluation and Therapeutic Treatment (SETT) facilities in Hagerstown, Maryland. The Potomac Center and SETT are residential care facilities for intellectually disabled individuals who may have co-existing mental disorders. The Potomac Center has 62 licensed beds, and the SETT is a secure Forensic facility.

Responsibilities:

• - Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients
• - Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with mental health disorders
• - Prescribe and manage medications for patients with mental health disorders
• - Provide counseling and therapy to patients with mental health disorders
• - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients
• - Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for patients
• - Current certificate as a Nurse Practitioner, Psychiatric from the Maryland State Board of Nursing (MDBON)
• - At least three (3) years of experience providing psychiatric services to special populations
• - Current/active certification in Adult First Aid, CPR, and AED
• - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• - Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• - Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• - Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards
