Job Title: Physical Therapist

Job Type: Full-time

Primary Areas:  Outpatient or Inpatients (assignment could be for either and would be dependent on the skills of the PT candidate and team needs)

Days:   Monday – Saturday

Hours:  up to 40hrs per week

Duty Hours:  8:00am – 4:30pm

Location: VA St. Louis Health Care System:

     -John Cochran Division 

-Jefferson Barracks

    -CBOCs (Franklin County, North County, St. Charles, St. Claire)

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Physical Therapist to join our team. As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for helping patients recover from injuries and illnesses, improve their mobility, manage pain, and prevent future injuries. You will work closely with patients to develop personalized treatment plans and provide ongoing support throughout their recovery journey.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct assessments to identify patients' physical limitations and develop personalized treatment plans

- Help patients improve their mobility, manage pain, and prevent future injuries

- Use a variety of techniques, including exercise, massage, and stretching, to help patients recover

- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

- Educate patients and their families on how to manage their condition and prevent future injuries

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

Requirements:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy

- Valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist

-Minimum of 2 years Hospital or Ambulatory Experience

-CPR and BLS Certification

-Take the Self-Assessment Skills Checklist

- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills

- Ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
