Two (2) years of Human Resources experience is required.

 Plymouth Tube is looking for an enthusiastic, ambitious team member to join our Human Resources Team.  This person must love change, be self-motivated and inspire others inside and outside the department. This individual should be able to communicate directly and openly with all levels in our organization.  There will be many opportunitiesfor thesuccessful candidate to engage their innovative and creative problem-solving skills to help move the department to the next level.  It is a must that the HR Assistant has a high degree of personal integrity in dealing with superiors, subordinates and co-workers and will represent Plymouth Tube Company in a professional manner. The successful candidate will live in both the big picture as well as in the details, desire to make an impact, and work well on a team and individually.

 YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

 Providing a comprehensive administrative support service to the HR Department and contributing to the provision of excellent colleague services at the location by support of the Human Resources Business Partner.

Responsibilities & Duties

The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

·         Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.

·         Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to

·         appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.

·         Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.

·         Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.

·         Makes photocopies; mails, scans and emails documents, files documents into appropriate employee files, and performs other clerical support to the HR department.

·         Assists with timekeeping and payroll functions including processing, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, and distributing checks.

·         Acts as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and payroll providers.

·         Conducts or assists with new hire orientation.

·         Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and

·         retirement celebrations.

·         Assists with processing of new hires and terminations.

·         Records training documentation in support and preparation for audits such as AS9100, etc.

·         Assists with recruitment and interview process.

·         Provides accurate month-end reports to the Finance department.

·         Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by the HRBP.

·         Assists or prepares correspondence as requested.

·         Prepares new-employee files.

·         Processes mail.

·         Responds to all customers with urgency and professionalism. Performs other related duties as assigned.

·         Assists with the communication and coordination of established policies and procedures as well as local, state, and federal laws and guidelines (re: workers compensation, human resources, legal, etc.)

·         Assists in

·         the monitoring of employee bulletin boards to ensure that posting (state, federal and mill specific) are up to date.

·         Monitors and records employee uniform allowance. Responsible for working with employees and uniform vendors to ensure employee receives the correct PPE and attire that fits accordingly.

·         Ensures that Phone List is accurate and up to date.

·         Monitors all employee wage deductions, increases and garnishments. Notifies HRBP and corporate payroll of all changes that relate to employee pay.

·         Monitors pay increases to ensure that employees are receiving increases after the completion of skill blocks. Ensures all paperwork is completed accurately for processing.

·         Maintains training record retention and tracking.

·         Maintains the New Hire Orientation Binders to ensure that information is accurate and ready for

·         orientation.

·         Conducts and coordinates Orientation for Contract Apprentices.

·         Assists with Open Enrollment and Benefit Administration.

·         Other duties as assigned.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

 

Educational and Experience Requirements:

·         High School Diploma/GED required

·        At least 2 years of experience in Human Resources (Preferably in a Manufacturing environment.) s
