Job Description:
As a Pharmacy Tech/Data Entry specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate data entry and processing prescriptions in accordance with pharmacy laws and regulations. You will assist pharmacists with maintaining patient records, dispensing medications, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

1. Process prescription orders accurately into the pharmacy system.
2. Assist pharmacists in filling prescriptions.
3. Check medication inventory regularly and inform supervisors about stock needs.
4. Maintain precise patient records to ensure safety and confidentiality.
5. Provide excellent customer service by answering queries about medications or health matters within your scope of responsibility.
6. Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify prescription details.
7. Adhere strictly to compliance measures, company policies, procedures, safety guidelines, federal/state law regarding all pharmacy operations.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent required; further education in pharmaceutical sciences would be a plus
2.Networked communication skills - written & verbal
3.Experience working as a Pharmacy Technician
4.Basic computer skills for data entry purposes
5.Ability to work both independently & collaboratively
6.Knowledge of medical terminology/pharmaceutical substances would be advantageous

License/Certification:

Certification from the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) is preferred but not mandatory.
