The Aviation Recruiter works closely with the Aviation Advisor and provides recruiting for the Aviation and UAS programs, meeting with prospective students/families, active prospect/applicant recruitment daily via telephone and email, assistance in continued development of online communications, presentations at college fairs and industry specific functions. Some traveling will be required (10-15%) instate to schools. High energy, professionalism, and passion for the position is essential for success.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required (Required)
Computer skills, including knowledge of the Internet, email, and calendaring software (Required)
Valid Driver’s License and a personal motor vehicle for use during working hours (Required)
College admissions experience (Preferred)
Experience working with high school and/or college-age students (Preferred)
Experience in aviation recruitment or a related field (Preferred)
(Critical) UAS & Aviation Program recruitment, including tours and pre-enrollment of students at a state-wide level: from high schools, career tech centers, and other community colleges for enrollment into the aviation and uncrewed systems programs at NMC.
(Critical) Coordinate and lead an industry recruiting task force made up of key advisory board members and program coordinators to identify recruitment opportunities and industry skill gaps.
(Critical) Identifies prospective students through innovative recruitment (CRM) and networking methods including: attending recruiting events, answering telephone calls, and following up with prospective students through mailings, email communications, social media, and site visits.
(Critical) Support the development of marketing and communication materials for the survey and geospatial programs.
(Critical) Coordinate with the appropriate academic areas to ensure curriculum delivery meets the needs of the students.
(Critical) Coordinate recruiting and engagement efforts as appropriate for the identified degree pathways into professional development and technical training programs.
(Critical) Processes inquiry and preadmission paperwork and works to facilitate progress in the process from inquiry to enrollment.
Develop and maintain relationships with aviation employers:
Build and nurture strong relationships with airlines, flight schools, maintenance facilities, and other aviation companies.
Conduct regular outreach to employers through phone calls, emails, site visits, and industry events.
Gather information on hiring needs, internship opportunities, and career pathways.
Track and report on recruitment activities:
Maintain accurate records of student contacts and recruitment outcomes.
Prepare regular reports on recruitment activities.
Works with the Aviation Advisor to analyze recruitment data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Promote the NMC Aviation Program:
Represent the NMC Aviation Program at industry events and conferences.
Develop and maintain relationships with high schools and community colleges to promote the program.
Assist with marketing and promotional materials for the Aviation Program.
Stay current with industry trends and best practices:
Attend industry conferences and workshops to stay informed about current trends in aviation employment.
