Accounts Payable Coordinator

Join our Finance Department team in a full-time Accounts Payable Coordinator role offering regular work hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. This role entails comprehensive A/P administration and occasional support for payroll administration after receiving necessary training.  You will be working under the guidance of our Chief Financial Officer and will receive competitive compensation based upon your educational background and professional experience.

KEY Responsibilities: 

  • Administration of daily A/P transactions ensuring accurate financial records.
  • Audit of invoices against goods and services PO's received.
  • Conduct account reconciliations to confirm entries match system reports.
  • Monitor compliance with financial procedures.
  • Reconcile vendor statements; manage invoice entry; schedule payments; prepare checks.
  • Investigate payment discrepancies; secure credits for outstanding memos or issue stop-payments as needed.
  • Maintain accurate ledger accounts.
  • Distribute petty cash funds as required.

Skills Required for Backup Payroll Duties:

  • Learn to execute payroll tasks ensuring prompt and precise payment processing.
  • Assist with new employee onboarding in the payroll management system.
  • Manage employee payroll documentation and deductions effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred but candidates with a High School Diploma or GED combined with a minimum of five years of relevant AP/PR experience will also be considered.
  • Computer proficiency and knowledge of MS 365 and accounting software is essential.
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP standards.
  • High level of discretion regarding confidentiality matters are imperative.
  • Detailed-oriented nature coupled with excellent organizational skills allowing the effective prioritization of tasks.
