**Position Summary:**
We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Sheetmetal Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in aircraft structural repair and fabrication, with a keen eye for detail and precision. This role requires proficiency in working with sheet metal materials, tools, and techniques to maintain the structural integrity of various aircraft types.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Perform repairs, modifications, and installations of sheet metal components on aircraft structures.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications for accurate work execution.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, rivet guns, shears, brakes, presses, forming machines to fabricate parts.
- Conduct inspections on completed work to ensure compliance with FAA regulations and company standards.
- Collaborate with engineers and other technicians for complex repair solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities performed.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Aircraft Sheetmetal Technician or similar role within the aerospace industry.
- Strong knowledge of aviation maintenance practices including FAA regulations related to airframe repairs.
- Proficiency in reading schematics/blueprints is essential.
- Excellent problem-solving skills; ability to troubleshoot effectively under tight deadlines.
**Skills & Abilities:**
- Detail-oriented mindset ensuring high-quality workmanship at all times
- Ability physically capable of lifting heavy objects (upwards 50 lbs) occasionally
- Comfortable working at heights/in confined spaces when necessary
