Landscape Construction Technician

Ground Control Property Services is seeking hard-working and dedicated Landscape Construction Technicians to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with landscaping and have great customer service skills. As a landscape professional, you will be responsible for installing landscapes such as brick patios and new sod while ensuring amazing customer service. DESCRIPTION

• Installing landscapes (brick paver patios, retaining walls, sod, soil, grading, planting, drainage systems, etc.)

• Working with and off of blueprints

• Meeting job deadlines in a timely manner

• Planting, grooming, and maintaining plant material

• Performing site cleanup duties

• Checking vehicles before each use and perform routine maintenance checks on any used vehicles/company equipment after each use

• Responsible for maintaining and cleaning assigned equipment after each use

• Demonstrate appropriate and safe operation and use of any common equipment

• Maintaining a positive attitude and collaborating with internal and external clients

• Performing physical work on a consistent basis, in an outdoor environment

• Using necessary apps to track work

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS

• Landscape experience preferred but not required

• Knowledge of the basics of lawn maintenance and horticulture

• Valid Driver’s License

• Smart phone (required) to take photos and use apps to track work

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

• Reliable transportation (able to commute to New Boston, MI)

• Ability to work outside for extended periods

• Ability to work alone and as part of a team

• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
