As a People Operations Director, you will be part of a dedicated team committed to making a positive impact. In this role, you will:
Lead and manage People Operations activities for 350+ employees, providing day-to-day guidance and strategic oversight.
Oversee comprehensive HR functions , including employeerelations, recruitmentand staffing, performance management,benefitsand compensationadministration, and organizational growth.
Ensure compliance by interpreting and applying Devereux’s policies and procedures related to People Operations.
Serveas a key senior leader ,byworkingin a consultative role with key senior members of the center.Developsworkforce strategies aligned with the center’s future needs and fostering partnerships with educational and community organizations to enhance Devereux’s reputation as an employer of choice.
Create and implement targeted recruiting and development plans to bridge workforce gaps.
Enhance retention and engagement by revising and executing staff engagement initiatives that promote employee well-being.
Collaborate with a national network of PO Directors, leveraging collective expertise and support.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’sdegree and HR certification (SHRM/HRCI preferred).
Minimumof 6years of HRmanagement, ideally in behavioral healthcare, human services, or non-profit settings.
Supervisory experience required.
Strong knowledge of Federal and state employment laws (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, ADA, Workers' Compensation, OSHA, workplace harassment,wageand hour compliance).
Proficiency in HR/Payroll Information Systems (e.g., Oracle) preferred.
Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize tasks independently.
Ability to relate to diverse backgrounds ,demonstratingsound judgment, emotional stability, and perceptiveness.
Strong conflict resolution skills ,maintaininga calm and effective leadership approach.
