What Devereux looks for in YOU:

  • Provide individual counseling and behavior support to those in your assigned programs

  • Conduct assessments/consultations/monitoring with our individuals to create a comprehensive treatment plan

  • Develop and maintain plans

  • Consultation on Individual Support Plans Goals/Objectives

  • Collaboration with external entities such as vocational programs, Psychiatrists, Physicians, and family members

  • Ability and desire to develop others through specialized orientation training for new staff in your assigned programs

Pay Rate: $22.06 - $25.15/hr dependent upon experience

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Pocono Center provides programs and services for adults with developmental disabilities. Providing services in Monroe, Wayne, Pike, and Lackawanna counties, this position is responsible coordinating, developing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating Individual Support Plans and behavior plans.

More about the role: Serves as an active member of the interdisciplinary team providing direction, modeling, training, and support to staff in the implementation of individual positive behavior support/restrictive plans and individual support plans. Actively engages in assessment and treatment related to individual’s functional skills, behavioral and psychiatric needs, communication, and personal adjustment. Attends and contributes to Interdisciplinary Meetings (IDT’s) to assess individual’s needs, progress and strengths. Provide clinical guidance, schedule clinical services, interact with treatment providers. Acts as a liaison to families and outside entities. Is responsible for the decision-making to develop and implement treatment modalities. Provides counseling and/or behavioral services to individuals. Maintains clear and concise documentation focusing on the individuals’ social, mental and emotional status. Supports the individual and operations thorugh crisis management, de-escalation, drop ins, accompaniment to ER for psych assessment, training/mentoring and works flexible hours for on site support.

Qualifications

Valid Drivers License required.

  • Education:Master’s Degree in Counseling, Psychology, or related field and/or certification. Completed relevant education and training programs.

  • Experience:Behavioral Interventions/Counseling and two years’ experience in working with children or individuals with developmentaldisabilities. Must demonstrate appropriate Core Competencies.
