Starting salary: $58,050 annually.

Devereux Ackerman Academy is a school serving students in grades K-12. Ackerman Academy is accredited by Cognia (Formerly AdvancED). We provide a stimulating educational environment for children and youth while they are receiving the highest level mental health treatment. Our education personnel are highly qualified and certified by Georgia Professional Standards Commission. Many of our faculty and staff have multiple certifications to include Special Education and other content areas. Qualifications

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree required; Masters degree preferred. GAPSC Certification - Certified Teacher in the field of Business preferred.

EXPERIENCE: Experience teaching Business; Grades 6 - 12.Experience with Positive Behavioral Intervention and support strategies preferred. Previous experience working with children/adolescents with psychological, emotional and behavioral disorders, co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders, and/or conduct disorders preferred.

Other qualifications:

• Georgia Certified Teacher Business Education content

• Valid Driver's License and background checks required along with Drug Screen
