As a Certified Medical Assistant you will work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need at our Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility [PRTF] for children located at 390 E Boot Road, West Chester PA in our Medical Services office.

Every day as a Certified Medical Assistant you will...

  • Supports department by coordination of medical appointments based on physician availability and operational needs of the department

  • Provide Phlebotomy services twice per week at the West Chester and Malvern programs.

  • Functions as department greeter and provides direction with respect to access of specific services and personnel

  • Complies with regulatory and facility policies on client health care and record management

  • Works in conjunction with Nursing, Admissions, Clinical, and Residential teams for client health care needs

Pennsylvania Children’s Services (DPACS) serves children, adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders. Located in West Chester and Malvern Pennsylvania, services provided include psychiatric residential treatment (PRTF), acute inpatient psychiatric hospital (AIP), assessment services, community-based mental health services, community-based employment training and social skills training, and approved private school educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives.

Qualifications

EDUCATION: High School diploma or GED required. Certified Medical Assistant.

EXPERIENCE: A minimum of one (1) year experience as a certified medical assistant. Experience working with individuals with intellectual, developmental and/or behavioral disabilities preferred. Proficient computer skills, mastery of Microsoft Office Applications, experience with data collection/analyzing platforms (Radar, Pro-Filer, and/or other internal and external software applications pertinent to the position). Strong organizational skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Requires ability to work independently, prioritize, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and adhere to established guidelines.

Valid driver's license must be maintained.
