This organisation is dedicated to internal staff promotions rather than hiring Director-level professionals externally.

We have an exciting role for a Senior Project Manager/Quantity Surveyor (North). You will become part of an established multi-disciplinary consultancy while contributing to our newly expanding Manchester office. Enhance the Project Management and Quantity Surveying services by assisting the Group Head in recruiting high-caliber team members. This position offers a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional aiming to take on significant Senior/Strategic responsibilities with clear upward mobility.

Your responsibilities as a Senior Project Manager/ Quantity Surveyor include:

- Engage proactively with new residential clients monthly and build strong relationships with the Senior Partner, Director of Partnerships, and Director of Business Growth. Manage project fees accurately as ‘Project Team Leader’ ensuring precise value and forecasting throughout.
- Participate actively in Corporate Social Responsibility days and utilize your 2-day annual allocation, reporting back via appropriate channels.
- Prepare budget estimates, cost planning, and manage tender procedures.
- Develop briefs, fee proposals, and present schemes or services.
- Prepare tender documents; assess and negotiate tenders.
- Manage interim payments, final cost assessments; handle contract variations.
- Attend project meetings; take minutes; oversee day-to-day project execution.
- Develop/manage project schedules using Microsoft Project.
- Liaise with clients; present schemes; ensure successful project delivery.
- Act as Contract Administrator/Employer's Agent on various building projects.
- Conduct site visits; issue inspection reports; prepare feasibility studies
- Design/present project proposals including cost estimates
- Obtain necessary statutory approvals (Planning & Building Control)
- Prepare specifications/schedules/tender documents

The ideal Senior Project Manager/ Quantity Surveyor will be:

• Minimum of 5 years post-degree experience (BSc(Hons) or similar in Building Surveying/Quantity surveying/Project Management) demonstrating relevant knowledge & competence for this role
• MRICS or Associate membership of RICS or equivalent recognized qualification
