Job Title: Teacher Assistant- SPED

Job Summary: We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher Assistants to support classroom teachers in delivering high-quality education. The ideal candidate will assist with instructional tasks, supervise students, and contribute to the overall positive atmosphere of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the lead teacher in preparing lesson materials and classroom activities.

• Provide support during instructional sessions by working with small groups or individual students.

• Help maintain a tidy and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.

• Supervise students during non-classroom activities such as recess or lunch breaks.

• Support students with special needs by following individualized education plans (IEPs).

• Monitor student progress and report observations to the lead teacher.

• Participate in school meetings, training sessions, and professional development workshops as required.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Previous experience working with children in an educational or behavioral health setting.

• Strong communication skills; ability to interact positively with students, staff, and parents.

• Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting student growth are essential qualities for this role.

Working Conditions:

The position may require occasional lifting of supplies/materials up to 25 pounds. The role involves standing for extended periods during classes or events.
