We are looking for someone who can maintain a schedule that is adjustable and flexible to meet changing work needs and demands of clients and their families and exhibit a high degree of ethical conduct, integrity, and confidentiality.  This position will travel 20% of the time and will have supervisor responsibilities.   

Essential Duties of a Psychometrist include but not limited to:

  • Prepares and administers psychological and/or neuropsychological testing in various formats, including paper and pencil test or tests requiring testing equipment, such as picture tests, dexterity boards, and computer-based, under standard or nonstandard conditions

  • Observes and documents the nuances of client approach, performance, behavior, and other relevant factors in the evaluation session.

  • Proctors psychologist-administered objective personality and clinical syndrome evaluations. Subjective evaluations provided under the direction of the psychologist.

  • Assists psychologist in the scoring of selected tests within a psychological or neuropsychological battery, as appropriate; assists psychologist in administering and completing behavior rating scales, as appropriate.

  • Performs basic interpretation of standardized tests of psychological functioning, as appropriate, and makes recommendations to the attending psychologist regarding the need for retesting or additional testing.

  • Track dissemination and collection of rating forms distributed to patients and their guardians/teachers to ensure timely scoring and feedback. Make follow-up contact to retrieve missing data.

Minimum qualifications for Psychometrist consist of:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university with a major in psychology or a closely related discipline.

  • Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution pursuing a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology preferred.

  • A strong ability to develop a rapport with a wide range of clients and to communicate verbally in a clear and caring manner 

  • A keen eye for detail and be able to pick up on subtle behavioral cues that might not be measured on written or computerized tests.
