Are you a meticulous and analytical finance professional with a passion the operational side of a business? We are seeking a dedicated AftersalesController to join our Finance dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee financial activities related to Aftersales service and Parts along with the strategic financial planning. You will support in strategic decision-making processes. If you excel in a dynamic environment and have a keen eye for detail, we would love to hear from you!

The successful candidate will be responsible for Controlling, Analysis, Planning, and Reporting within the Customer Service section of our business. This role is crucial in supporting management with strategic decision-making to achieve sustainable and profitable growth.

This is a full time position.  Applicants must have a permanent and valid right to work in the United Kingdom.

More about the role

Month-End Closing:

  • Manage all bookings and reconciliations.
  • Ensure accurate and correct data posting.
  • Escalate any concerns to the Head of Controlling.
  • Implement process improvements for transparency and value addition.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Provide clear and concise figures to the Management team.
  • Investigate deviations from planning and escalate as needed.
  • Analyse actuals vs. planning to create and present to Management. 

Legal Accounting Requirements:

  • Ensure compliance with local legal accounting standards.
  • Avoid adverse reputations, fines, and failures with governing bodies.
  • Implement process improvements for transparency and value addition.

CSP Planning:

  • Re-plan all figures and KPIs for future financial steering measures throughout various planning cycles. 
  • Work alongside the Head of Controlling to conclude the best placed planning for the business.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure inclusion of risks and opportunities.

Audit Queries and ICS Controls:

  • Assist the financial team with audit queries related to Customer Services controlling.
  • Manage applicable ICS controls.

System Interfaces:

  • Ensure timely and accurate system interfaces between CSP systems and Cofico Accounting system.

Bonus Payments and Goodwill Reconciliations:

  • Manage finance and controlling aspects of bonus payments and goodwill reconciliations.
  • Ensure adherence to budgets and provide transparent monthly reporting.

Support for Wider Controlling Team:

  • Act as a delegate and support for the wider controlling team.
  • Cover other Controlling Team members tasks as needed.
  • Support and contribute to Controlling Projects. 

About you

  • The preferred candidate should be educated to degree level and qualified with CIMA/ACCA or equivalent (candidates close to completion or relevant experience will be considered)   
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience within an accounting / management accounting / Controlling environment  
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and reporting abilities
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems
