The role:

Daimler Truck Financial Services has a new and exciting 2 year contract opportunity for a motivated and passionate Senior Project Manager.  Based at our Head Office in Mulgrave, and in a critical role within the Information Technology (IT) team, you will be responsible for leading, driving and managing a complex and transformative business critical project from initiation to completion. This role will manage cross functional team resources, utilising a deep understanding of project management methodologies You will collaborate with stakeholders to initially define the project scope, objectives and deliverables and be responsible for execution, aligning with project goals.

Reporting into the IT Service Delivery Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between DTFS leadership, vendors, and project teams to ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Regularly engage with senior stakeholders to manage expectations, provide updates on project progress, and address any emerging risks or challenges
  • Manage internal and external resources including vendors, keeping the project to budget
  • Work closely with the DTFS IT Service Delivery Manager to facilitate strong project governance and ensure that the appropriate level of oversight is provided to the Executive / Steering Committee.  
  • Implement and refine project management processes and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Mentor and support team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment

Who we are looking for:ent expertise with experience leading high performing teams within large scale projects. Extensive experience in gathering business requirements and leading cross-functional teams to drive project success is essential. An excellent communicator and adept problem-solver, you will thrive in our environment, working closely with your Program manager and Executive Committee to clearly and regularly identify, inform on and escalate progress or any conflicting priorities. 

Strong experience is required in maintaining a rigorous risk management process, identifying and managing project risks, particularly in regulated industries like financial services, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements across multiple regions. 

Knowledge of relevant IT infrastructure, software development processes and systems integration is required, along with an understanding of current and emerging technologies relevant to the organization (e.g., SaaS, API Gateways, Kafka, CWPP, CSPM,). You will also be degree qualified in IT, Business or a related field, along with relevant certifications are essential.

This is a local, contract role. You must have a valid working visa for Australia / New Zealand for the entire length of the contract, to be able to apply for this position.
