The area of responsibility is a long the value chain from Engineering until the end consumer of the products. << Job Description >> Product engineer in Material & Process & Technologies team(MPT) is responsible for designing support for our products and their production processes. This position works closely with product development teams to turn ideas into marketable items based on industry research. Your mission To perform constant market analysis of competing products to determine and establish customer needs and requirements by sharing knowledge with R&D Coordinate and monitor prototype submissions (B/C Sample) and performances to establish product life cycle with respect to customer needs by manufacturing process selections and product standard definitions Your challenge and development 1. Develop product quality and design ideas based on customer audience interests during development and post SoP stage 2. Identify customer problems and create functional prototypes offering a solution 3. Analyze feasibility, cost, and return on investment for product ideas 4. Perform market analysis on competing products and brands 5. Establish / Create product quality standards with respect to performance needs 6. recognition & evaluation of the impact of materials on the environment, compliance with national & international regulations. 7. Gather testing failure results from Product reliability team and analyze the product performance with respect to given specifications, if not meeting, suggest for product design / manufacturing process support Your responsibilities Support product manufacturing new technologies support Complete coordination for product design and process selections until D sample release and ensure the performance during SoP and Field performances ensuring product quality performances, product specifications and standards to meet product life cycle definitions Support the part development activities in view of Material and process development from QG9 stage Review and validating the supplier manufacturing process to meet product life cycle definitions Qualifications << Ideal Candidate >> Please explain your ideal candidate, i.e. A person is always passionate and able to proceed forward under ambiguous situation. - Keep good relationship with business partners even if under critical conflict - Self-driven and go over complex problems, and challenges under ambiguous situation - Able to convince stakeholder by using analysis/ expertise skill << Qualifications >> Bachelor and Masters in engineering, specialist in automotive and product reliability ■ Job Experience - at least 7 years of experience in automotive industry - hands on experience in product design, product life cycle management, product standards creation / revision - Car industry experiences ■ Practical Knowledge - business proficiency English/Japanese.
