This position is under Accounting & Financial Reporting Japan.
Inventory specialist plays an important role in managing and monitoring inventory and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), and performing month end closing procedure for the area. This role is responsible for overall inventory related transactions. This role will be the key position in recognizing COGS and leading to company profit, and providing reliable analyses to top management and controlling departments.

Your mission
As a process owner of Inventory in cbFC (Accounting System), understand complex overall connection of systems and processes, recognize and maintain accuracy and provide information to stakeholders in a timely manner

Build strong relationships with other finance departments and stakeholders

Your responsibilities
・ Overall inventory related transactions, but not limited to
・ Process management on inventory accounting and seek opportunity to improve the process
・ Monitoring daily interfaces from legacy systems to cbFC and managing errors generated through the interfaces
・ Perform route cause analysis of errors incurred in cbFC
・ Perform deviation analysis on COGS (vs prior month, quarter, year)
・ Managing inventory information such as goods movement monitoring, material master creation, etc., depending on team member responsibilities
・ Deliver necessary data & consultation to other stakeholders in a timely manner
・ Manage and monitor provisions for inventory (scrap, Lower Cost or Market etc.)
・ Lead annual physical inventory counts with team members
・ ICS communication with External & Internal audit correspondence
・ Ad-hoc tasks

・ Excellent communication skills
・ CPA, CMA, MBA, or equivalent is a plus, but not mandatory

Experience
・ 3 - 5 years accounting experience
・ Ownership and delivery of key objectives within aligned process
・ Experience in manufacturing business is preferable
・ Experience working in a complex multinational & fast-paced company

Skill
・ English:  business level
・ Japanese:   Native level
 (Frequent English communication (i.e. meetings, emails) with German Headquarters and English speaking colleagues)
・ Knowledge of SAP
・ IFRS & JGAAP knowledge
