Bookkeeper for Interior Design & High-End Furniture Brand

Our client, a high end furniture end interior design studio is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team at a leading interior design and high-end furniture brand. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, creative environment, where your expertise in financial management will play a key role in supporting our growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Day Book & Ledgers: Managing the Sales LedgerDebtors Ledger, and daily sales transactions.

  • Purchase Day Book & Ledgers: Overseeing the Purchase LedgerControl Accounts, and processing of supplier invoices.

  • General Ledger Maintenance: Ensuring accuracy in general Ledger and general financial recordkeeping.

  • Reconciliation: Handling Debtors and Creditors reconciliation to ensure accounts are up-to-date and accurate.

  • Cash Flow Management: Managing the Cash BookBank Reconciliation, and preparing Cash Flow Forecasting to support business operations.

  • VAT & CIS Returns: Processing VAT returns and completing CIS Returns in compliance with regulations.

  • Payments & Payroll: Writing cheques, setting up internet payments, and processing weekly and monthly payroll.

  • Credit Control: Managing credit control, ensuring timely payments from clients and maintaining positive relationships.

  • Accountant Liaison: Working closely with external accountants to provide necessary financial information.

  • Accounts Processing: Managing the Accounts to Trial BalanceProfit and Loss Accounts, and Balance Sheet preparation.

  • Management Accounts & Year-End Statutory Reports: Preparing monthly management accounts and assisting with year-end statutory reports.

  • Ad-Hoc Tasks: Supporting the accounts department with various other tasks as needed, contributing to overall efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper, ideally within the interior designfurniture, or luxury goods industries (not a requirement)

  • Strong understanding of accounts processing, including VATCIS returns, and financial reconciliation.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

  • Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience in credit control and handling payroll processing.

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with external accountants and internal teams.
